I do not support you or the president, nor the GOP agenda. I ask you to consider representing all of Americans and support what is right and good. Not what is politicaly and personally expedient. you will be remembered with shame if you do not. And leave ACA alone, along with medicare and Medicaid and Social Security. You have a pension and health care, but not every one has. And respect women’s health by leaving the decision up to the individual, not the State. You are all very eager to take control of what is not your business.

And quit watching the first Amendment be quashed by power-hungry idiots. It’s part of your job description to listen.

And do not approve Sessions. I’m a Southerner and he will not, and has not risen above his predjudices.

If I sound angry and dismayed, I am. Have you read the Constitution? It’s a remarkable read for someone so ready to shut down the nation, the government and freedom.

Think it through. There are consequenses. And so far, I see nothing but degradation of our nation.

I will remember in 2018 and beyond.

Hello, as a citizen of the great state of Texas with all its past glories and triumphs it’s easy to be left in awe of the wonders of what we are and what we will become. I find myself waking up and day by day to the impossibilities of the world miraculously becoming possible. I’ve never before had experienced such utter disappointment in witnessing the impossible become not just possible but forced upon not just me but everyone who trusted their delegates to look after the peoples best interests. Let me tell you when I woke up this morning and checked the news to find out Mr President used an executive order to let the constuction on two separate pipelines continue as planned after a fiasco of physical abuse on peaceful protesters in a variety of malicious ways really opened my eyes to the fact that to you government officials are the people you’re looking out for and completely disregard what the rest of the us really need and want. On top of that situation Our Texas Government just made a law to strip away our given constitutional rights and our inalienable rights from pregnant women thusly named the Abolition of Abortion in Texas Act so then who do i talk to to make a change when do i get to vote for or against this situation that is happening? As a voice of the people dispite what your personal beliefs are I do implore you to take a stand on these two matters and see how much negative blacklash is going to occur because of this. To be perfectly clear I, Alyssa Morales, am against the DAPL pipeline being cleared for constuction and I, Alyssa Morales, am against the Abolition of Abortion in Texas Act. I want my voice to be heard I want to be able to easily obtain information on how to actively be against this acts and bills. I want your help speaking for me and or directing me to someone who can help my cause as you were voted into office to do. Thank you for your time.

Let’s give Trump a real chance. We new to kill sanuary cities, political correctness and progressive initiatives in Houston.

Why did the Senatorial Convention move out of Memorial Area in Houston?

Why can the Houston School Board change names of HS. Is Texas history taught in our schools?

Trump might have the magic that the party needs to build on. The Republicans need to get on board and push hard. We have a breath of fresh air we had better take it.

Logic, Logic and Logic is the new basis for making American Great Again.

Example: eliminate the marriage penalty imposed in my IRS tax.

The 250000 USD family limit should be per Pearson. A 500000 USD limit per family inflation adjusted.

Across the board 5% reduction except military per year. Where metrics show no value 10% per year. As a minimum.

Review all foreign aid and cut 25% where immediate value to tax payers can not be shown.

No government expenditure without value to tax payer shown by metrics.

Make verifiable deals with Russia. Russia may hold the key to holding China in line.

    Logic, Logic, Logic

Put Hillary in jail. Make clear Obama was the worst president since Jimmy Carter.

Put Cruz on the Supreem Court.

    A few questions-

Is it just your presidential nominee or is the entire Republican Party in league with Putin and Russia to weaken NATO? And destroy democracy not just in this country but all of Western Europe?

What do you thinks the odds are that the treasonous, corrupt FBI agents abusing their power by conspiring to effect the election are not Republicans? Zero, right?

With Russian assistance, corrupt FBI agents, the whole Breitbart media machine, a party base that is impervious to reality and billionaires like Robert Mercer behind him do those of you who consider yourselves serious and sober Republicans honestly believe you’ll be able to control your monster? Really, based on what?

    Hello,

    My name is Luis.

I am a first generation American, the son of immigrants, born and raised in this great nation. As a young child, I developed a fascination with politics, specifically elections.

Since then, campaigns and elections are my passion, so much as graduating with a degree in political science, with an emphasis on American elections. In my free time you can find me watching ads, reading candidate statements, attending rallies, and keeping tabs on polls.

More recently I have started to collect political bumper stickers. My collection started in 2010 and I have gathering memorabilia every election cycle since. I have collected from various parties and levels and have started a Twitter account to share my collection.

I am writing in hopes that you would be able to send me a 2016 Culberson campaign bumper sticker to add to my collection. In return, I will mention Rep. Culberson on my twitter account @politicalbumper, post a picture of the bumper sticker and along with a link to your website.

    My address is as follows:

    Luis Guitart

    1623 Bellevue Ave

    Apt 603

I really appreciate your time and consideration.

    Cheers,

I met Congressman Culbertson several times when our daughters were at the same elementary school. While our politic positions usually differ, I respect his passion, ethics, and commitment to his constituents. But I am incredibly confused by his position on the ICANN transition. Obama is STRENGTHENING the power of Internet users!! By undermining the work of the global, private-sector-led Internet community, which has shaped the Internet for more than 25 years—and thwarted government efforts to constrain and limit it—he is going to be responsible for doing EXACTLY what he says he doesn’t want. Governments who want to impose new controls on the Internet will be able to say that they should have control—not the US Congress. The Obama plan makes sure NO government has control. And that’s the magic of the Internet—no one is in control and EVERYONE is in control. I have been involved in Internet policy since 1988, and would be happy to talk with John or his staff about this. This article summarizes the situation well: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/09/14/ted_cruz_in_wrongheaded_internet_crusade/

    Dear Congressman Mr. John Culberson,

Please voice out to the parliament to help the Malaysian Christians have been persecuted by the Malay government party called UMNO. Centuries ago, we have been practicing our Christian faith with peaceful and harmony and respect other peoples religion. But recently many Malays under the government of Mr. Najib Razak and Mr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi start persecute and argue the Christian faith and their teaching. Here is the information I like to share with Mr. Culberson. Catholic priest Rev. Father Lawrence Andrew’s life is at risk as long as Selangor Umno roadshows single him out as the main instigator of non-Muslims using “Allah” in the state, say several concerned lawyers. They agreed that despite targeting Andrew, the real purpose of the roadshows was to threaten the Christian community against using the word. Some 30 roadshows have been planned by Selangor Umno and some Muslim groups purportedly to explain Selangor’s controversial legislation governing propagation among Muslims and the restricted usage of the word "Allah Andrew was singled out for saying that Christians will continue to use “Allah” in their Bahasa Malaysia service, when he had quoted the Federal Constitution which guaranteed freedom for each religion to manage its own affairs. Lawyer Annou Xavier told The Malaysian Insider that Andrew’s statements were based on the consensus of the Catholic community, as such, he cannot be singled out You cannot separate Father Lawrence, who happens to be the Herald editor, from the Catholic community. “It’s like this, you cannot say Umno is behind the roadshow, but the PM is not,” he said, as an example. He also explained that the “Allah” case in court was not initiated by Andrew, but the office of the Titular Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, which represented the Catholic community. In October, a three-man Court of Appeal bench allowed Putrajaya’s appeal to reverse a High Court ruling that Catholic weekly Herald could not use the word Allah as “it was not an integral part of the Christian faith and practice”. The church is appealing that decision. As such, Annou called on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to stop the roadshows, as it did not serve any purpose."The roadshows are bad as it gives rise to suspicion, anger, mistrust and gives the wrong perception about the Christian community. “It is also a threat to Father Lawrence’s safety by channelling public anger towards him,” Annou added. Lawyers for Liberty co-founder Eric Paulsen is not even buying into the story that the roadshows were not against Christians in general, but only against Andrew. He said instead, the Catholic priest was being used as a red herring to deflect accusations that the roadshows were in reality a crusade against Christians using the word “Allah”.As such, Paulsen urged Umno and the Muslim groups to get some kind of leadership from the prime minister, instead of going out on their own. He said that while he advocated freedom of speech, roadshows such as these over a sensitive issue would only shore up anger and spread false information. Paulsen added that the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia’s (Jakim) Friday sermons of late was also “full of lies” over the “Allah” case. "What if some misguided person decides to take the law into his own hands? “We are all for freedom of speech but there is no freedom to incite violence,” he said. Another lawyer, Syahredzan Johan suggested that the authorities keep a close watch on the roadshows, to ensure speakers do not incite hatred and channel anger towards Andrew. He added that this monitoring would be no different from when authorities keep close tabs on assemblies and gatherings by groups that are not government-friendly. “If they say things like Father Lawrence is a threat to Islam or national security, then there would be several offences they are committing and the authorities should step in,” he said. Last Friday, speakers at a Selangor Umno roadshow in Shah Alam had said that their focus was on Andrew, who they alleged was instigating Christians to break the law. The speakers had also said Andrew did not represent the opinion of the majority in the Christian community. The focus on Andrew was largely seen as casting Selangor Umno as the party which is defending the state law and several Muslim decrees which ban the use of “Allah”, and other terms such as “Baitullah”, “solat” and “Kaaba” by non-Muslims. “This is done on purpose by Andrew, not by other Christians. Not all Christians agree with Andrew. All this while, Muslims and Christians have lived together in peace. Why is Andrew sparking this issue?" Norman Toha, secretary general of Malay rights group Jalur Tiga (Jati) said. But Shariah lawyer and constitutional expert Nizam Bashir told The Malaysian Insider that he could not see what the fuss was about over Andrew’s statement, especially since the word was being used in the confines of churches and not to convert Muslims. He added that if the intention of the roadshows was to defend Islam, the organisers were failing miserably. “They are instead spreading false information, there are enough verses in the Quran which effectively say that non-Muslims can refer to God as Allah,” Nizam said. He also described the raid by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) on the Bible Society of Malaysia and the seizure of bibles in Bahasa Malaysia and Iban as unwarranted, adding that there was no proof that the bibles were being used to propagate Christianity among Muslims. Religious tension in the country heightened after Jais’s raid. The raiding party also detained BSM chairman Lee Min Choon and manager Sinclair Wong. Following that, Muslim groups had protested near a church in Klang against the right of Malay-speaking Christians to worship in Bahasa Malaysia using the word Allah. Prior to the 2011 Sarawak elections, Putrajaya had endorsed a 10-point solution to allow Christians in Sabah and Sarawak to use Allah in the Malay version of the bible, which was negotiated by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Idris Jala. Andrew, meanwhile, is being investigated for sedition after he had been reported by The Malaysian Insider as saying that churches in Selangor would continue using the word “Allah” during their Bahasa Malaysia services. His statement was in response to Jais’s announcement that they would write to all churches in Selangor and tell them not to use the word “Allah” in their worship and publication. Last week, church leaders of various denominations had come out to say that they were united with the Catholic Church on the stand that Bahasa Malaysia-speaking Christians should be allowed to use the word “Allah” in their worship. Throughout all this, Putrajaya has kept silent on the issue even as Christians looked to Idris Jala for an explanation. Please investigate this serious issues that is still happening in Malaysia with no Christian rights religious practice. Malaysia should learn from Muslim country like Indonesia where their Christians still use the word ‘Allah’ in their bibles. The Indonesian peoples are more united compare with Muslim not so united and not so democratic country like Malaysia. I am sadden and ashamed of my country Malaysia with no peaceful, no united and no harmony anymore. Thank you very much for your support, help and concern to the Malaysian Christians. God bless you always.

    Dear Congresman Culberson,

As you very well know of the developments that occurred today with the director of the FBI James Comey’s failure to uphold the laws of this country in regards to former Secretary Clinton. I find it very difficult to believe in the members of the government of these United States. This presents me with an opinion of no confidence in our government employees to uphold the oath that they took when they entered office. This is a very uncomfortable feeling for a constitutional conservative, a veteran and a proud citizen of this formally great country. These events are paramount to the failure of this government and the direction that it is clearly going.

Please forgive my venting but I am sure that you can understand my disappointment in our government. I ask you sir as I will ask every elected official that I can for your stance on this matter and to publically announce your position on these events that will set forth future events as they relate to the confidence of the people of their government.

    Thank you,

    Don

I feel like I have been deceived by Congressman Culberson. He promised things in his meetings with voters, he went back to D.C. and did nothing that he promised. He might as well be a Clinton supporter. I will never vote for him again. He controls the money and he does not use his power to stop this radical administration.

I have lived in Houston 42 years and never flooded until April 18, 2016. In my opinion all of the new construction has put older homes at risk as developers are allowed to build on wetlands and the water only has one way to drain.

I never heard back from you. Recently, I mentioned that during a political discussion at Braeburn CC and was astounded when 2 others stated that they had the same experience with your office. The industry-wide regulations contained in the United States maritime law from the 1920s known as the Jones Act provide that if cargo is shipped from one American port to another American port the following must be true:

    1) The ship must have been built in an American shipyard.

    2) The ship must be owned by an American company.

    3) The ship must be staffed by American sailors.

To those who don’t have any real knowledge of the shipping industry, this creates a monopoly and a protectionist wall that is ridiculously irrelevant to modern-day shipping 100 years later. Keeping the law in place however does have support from an extremely effective lobby. At the time the law was passed, lawmakers decided that because of the undo economic difficulty it would place on the United States Virgin Islands they were exempted from this portion of the law. The distance between the U.S. Virgin Islands and the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico is not very much different from say the distance between Houston and Austin. About a couple of months ago the first two tankers of American crude oil sold internationally left the US, specifically from Houston and Corpus Christi. Their destination was a refinery complex in Italy. The Jones act makes this sale more profitable in the real world market then sending the two tankers to New Jersey. That this situation exists today is a black eye to the principle of free market trade in the United States.

Puerto Rico is in a virtual economic free fall. The United States currently has on its hands a glut of propane (virtually interchangeable with liquefied petroleum gas or LPG). The United States Virgin Islands is in the process of converting its power plants from diesel to propane. Puerto Rico chose the much more difficult conversion process for the first plant it is converting to liquefied natural gas. Up until now natural gas has not been in use in Puerto Rico. But Puerto Rico does have multiple propane importers/distributors. The propane does not come from Texas (or anywhere else in the U.S.). This is an insane situation when within our own country we have a glut of propane and a very close by U.S. territory that could hugely benefit economically, yet we make it economically unfeasible for the Puerto Ricans to buy it. Ted Cruz or any other Republican candidate for president ought to publicly come out and say that he would sign an executive order declaring an economic emergency and creating a specific exemption from the Jones act specifically for the purpose of shipping propane (LPG) to Puerto Rico. In just this one small slice of the market, this could create an example of how much help this could provide to Puerto Rico thereby promoting the concept of a permanent total exemption for the island territory exactly the same as its neighbor, the United States Virgin Islands. This anti-monopolistic, anti-Washington cartel picking winners and losers action is exactly dead in the middle of Ted Cruz’s desire to show that true conservatives are willing to sacrifice the desires of special interest groups in favor of support for “we the people”. I call on Congressman Culberson to support this concept at this crucial economic time for Puerto Rico. It is the right thing to do for the U.S. citizens living in Puerto Rico. It also happens to be the right thing to do for Texans.

To the Honorable Congressman John Culberson—

I am a lifelong Republican. I held precinct chairs in Texas & Alaska. I am the daughter of a Texas Republican National Committeeman. I worked for the RNC, the Republican Parties of Texas & Alaska.

Ted Cruz helped George W. Bush become President with his eloquent fight in front of the Supreme Court, Bush v. Gore. Two former Presidents live in Texas. Ted Cruz has won 3 times over Trump (Alaska is still in play) and has 20+ more delegates than Rubio. Rubio has NO path to the nomination even with his win in Minnesota.

It is time for the Republican Party to unite behind one candidate!!! That candidate cannot be Trump or Rubio!!! If you support any candidate other than Cruz, you will help elect Hillary Clinton, and I foresee the possibility Republicans lose the Senate & possibly the House because Trump has no coattails for candidates down ticket. If we elect Trump (God forbid) he will destroy the Republican Party.

Please offer your support to Cruz and urge the Bush family to support Ted Cruz before the next debate.
